California Municipal Technologies, Inc. was founded in 2000. Its founding purpose is to provide technology support services to public agencies. The CMTI staff has, collectively, nearly 100 years experience in dealing-with and supporting public agencies. They have experience in both the implementation of commercial packages and in the writing, documentation, implementation and testing of special purpose software.

The CMTI staff are experts in the design and implementation of web-based solutions, in web-hosting, and all aspects of data center and desk top support. CMTI is responsible for and supports a data center in Fresno, California, for itself and the Fresno County Workforce Investment Board. Many agencies choose to house their applications at that Center as a cost-effective alternative to self-hosting.

Software designed and developed by the founders of CMTI is in daily use by over thirty California cities and by other agencies throughout the Country. They were also responsible for the creation of the I-TRAIN Course Management System which supports agencies representing nearly 60% of the California population.
